Obituary for Franklyn Elmer "Frank" Belmore

Belmore, Franklyn Elmer
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Belmore on October 17, 2016 at the Juravinski Hospital. Frank left this life as he had lived it: on his own terms and surrounded by the love of his children and their spouses, his grandchildren, and his beloved wife of 64 years, Ruby (nee Bannerman). Beloved father of Gregory (Doris), Catherine Brown (Phil), Douglas (Carol), and Michael (Jaime). Doting grandfather of Cassandra, Mathew, Joshua, Angus, Hannah, Sarah, Laurel, Emily, Elijah and Scarlett. Frank was the proud great-grandfather of Georgia, Ty, Elli, Rowyn, Hudson and Charliegh. Dear brother of Ron and Shirley, and predeceased by brother Larry and parents Elmer and Catherine. Survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Frank retired from a career at the Transport Canada which had followed twenty-five years of service in Canada and overseas with the RCAF and Canadian Forces. He was also a longtime member of the R.H.L.I. Veterans Association. Although Frank and Ruby made their home in Hamilton, they spent every minute that time and weather allowed at their Beckley Beach cottage and were active members of their cottage community.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 1919 King St. East on Saturday October 22nd from 11-1p.m. followed by a chapel service at 1 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's name to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. On-line condolences can be made at www.dermodys.com
