KIJUTS, LEIDA
Peacefully, on August 25, 2010, Leida Kijuts in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Peter. Loving and cherished mother of Sylvia Avery (David). Dear sister of Salme Burry of Abbotsford, BC. Leida will be sadly missed by family, many long-time friends, and neighbours. She will be forever remembered for her matter-of-fact outlook on life as well as her honest but gentle character. A story teller with a great sense of humour, she instilled happiness and laughter in all those around her. She left the world on her terms—with dignity and grace, and never having spoken an unkind word. At Leida’s request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1919 King Street East (between Rosedale and Cochrane) on Sunday, August 29th, from 11 am to 1 pm followed by a chapel service at 1pm.
