Peacefully passed away surrounded by his daughters, on December 2nd, 2020 at the age of 90 at The Juravinski Hospital. Loving husband of the late Virginia Di Diodato (nee Annibale) of 53 years. Cherished father of Diana (Steven), and Susan (Marcel). Proud and caring nonno to Kristen (Morgan), Natalie (Kevin) and Jordan. Survived by his caring sister Marianina D’Andreamatteo (the late Antonio) and sisters-in-law Silvana and Marsilia. Predeceased by brothers Berardino (Olga), Marino and Bruno. Brother in law of Elia Annibale, Giuseppe and Maria Annibale, Chiara and Marcello Probo and Valentino Annibale. Predeceased by parents and in-laws. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada and Italy. Benito spent 26 years working and retired from Dofasco where he enjoyed his time and made many friends along the way. Thank you to family Dr. Rosati for his continuing care throughout the years. Special thank you to the staff at Juravinski Hospital, Ward F3 Medicine, for their care and compassion, especially Dr. Scallon and Dr. Cox. Benito’s family would also like to send sincerest gratitude to Villa Italia Retirement Residence for the excellent care of their dad as he enjoyed his time there.

DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (796 Upper Gage Ave., between Mohawk and Fennell) on Sunday December 6, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Margaret Mary Parish, 20 Idlewood Ave, Hamilton, on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 11am . Private Burial to take place following Mass.
