Obituary for Colin Smith

SMITH, Colin
Peacefully in the arms of his beloved wife, Colin passed away on February 9, 2023 at the age of 64.
Colin will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years Martina (Teena) Smith (nee Morris) and his fur-baby Jag.
Predeceased by his father Edward Smith and fur-babies Blue and Seamus. Mother Ruby… siblings; Paul, Michael, Susan.
Colin will be sadly missed by his wife, Jag, his In-laws and countless friends. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at our home. Please email, text or phone me for address information at bsj.zibra@gmail.com or 905-932-7553. Colin wanted a fun, happy celebration so please do whatever makes you comfortable, but bright happy colours (maybe red for LiverPool) are encouraged.
Colin was a lifelong LiverPool Football Club supporter. He looked forward to the weekends watching football (aka soccer) especially when LPFC was playing. Colin’s other passions include spending time with his dogs, playing guitar, working on anything mechanical and cooking… he was a Master Chef in the kitchen! Colin lived many lives on his terms in his 64 years, a lesson we should all learn.
Colin and I would like to give special thanks to the Home and Community Care Support Services, Palliative Care Team for all the hard work and dedication they put into keeping Colin comfortable and cared for while he was at home.
Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Schar and the Palliative team in hospice care at the Port Colborne Hospital for their tender care, compassion and for treating Colin with dignity. Continually grateful to family physician Dr. Joseph Bassey for making a difficult situation a little easier.
Big gratitude to Lincoln Centre Remedy's Pharmacy (William and Brenda) for always going the extra mile and for genuinely caring.
So very thankful to P.X. Dermody Funeral Home Director Catrina for her unending compassion and patience, so soothing at this difficult time.
Eternal gratitude to my family, and our friends who have worked so hard to make this heartbreaking time a little less painful. For all the efforts and energy that has been dedicated to us in so many different formats… for all the love and support… it will never be forgotten.
