Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 17, 2022 at 86 years of age. Reunited with his wife Adèle (1973), his daughter Catherine (1961) and his spouse Marilyn (2010). Cherished father of Colleen (Julia), Joanne (Drew) Kanerva, Anita (Dave) MacLean and Martin (Wendy) O’Toole. Loving Poppa and Grandpa of Scott (Carrie), Davis (Claire), Edward (Carly), Jack, Juliet, Andrew (Daisy), Josh, Jake, Emily and great Grandpa of baby Beau. Loving brother of Margaret (the late Stan) Shine. Ed will be sadly missed by his entire family and many dear friends.
He was the former Editor at the Burlington Post and took great pride in his work. Ed had deep faith, a generous heart and enjoyed spending time with his family.
In lieu of flowers donations to The Society of Ste. Therese of Lisieux or the Hamilton SPCA or The Good Shepherd homeless shelter of Hamilton would be appreciated by the family.
Cremation services were held and a private family service will take place at a later date.
