Obituary for Gary Blair Gautreau

Gary Blair Gautreau
March 9 1964 - January 1, 2021

It is with great sadness that Cody and Garrett announce the passing of their father Gary after a courageous battle on Friday January 1st 2021 at the age of 56 years.

Survived by his beloved mother Sandra Gautreau, siblings Chris (Donna) Gautreau, Glen (Krista) Gautreau, Lori (Archie) Kopoian and Lisa Graham. Predeceased by father Blair and brother-in-law Mathew (Mattie) Graham. Lovingly remembered by many dear Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, mother of his boys Suzanne Palmer and long time East End school friends from Holy Family, Holy Name of Jesus and Delta Secondary Schools.

Gary, known as “The Corporal” was a skilled accomplished Glazier tradesman and proud member in standing of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT).

He was a championship goaltender ,long time East End Schlepps hockey team mate, trophy angler who loved the Kawarthas , very proud father, brother, son, and the respected “solid” friend from the East End of the Hammer who had a heart of gold. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A celebration befitting of Gary’s zest for life and good times will be announced at a later date.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, DONATIONS TO THE HAMILTON FOOD BANK WOULD BE APPRECIATED BY THE FAMILY.

Please take a moment to leave an online condolence on the memory wall
