At the home of her cherished daughter, Brenda and Tom Hillier of Dundas, with her daughter Joan Ellis (Tom) and son John Chisholm (Michelle Johnson) by her side, (of Calgary AB Gerry entered into the arms of her loving angel, Bill Chisholm (husband for nearly 60 years d 2013). Treasured nana to Gregory Hillier of Port Dover and Brandon Hillier of Hamilton, Cody and John Ellis, Caitlin Curran (Kodie), Ethan and Austin Johnson. Great Nana to Remi and Winnie Curran all of Calgary AB. For over eight years Nana looked forward to her faithful daily call from her grandson, Brandon Hillier, since the loss of Papa. Gerry was from Sandpoint Nova Scotia where she will be missed by her brothers Raymond (Ruth) Morris of Sandpoint NS, Ernie (Rhena) Morris of Fort McMurray AB and sisters Louessa Grady (Ronnie) of Truro NS and Janet Morris of Nanaimo BC. Predeceased by her brother Melvin Morris (Berniece) of Mulgrave NS.
Gerry loved waitressing at McCarrons Tearoom in New Glasgow NS and was a radio tube tech at Westinghouse on Aberdeen, in Hamilton. She then dedicated her life to raising her family with Bill. Gerry was a long-time member of St Eugenes Parish in Hamilton. Cremation has taken place with the Interment at the Queen of Angels cemetery with a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to the Good shepherd or Salvation Army.
