It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Gerda da Silva on January 2, 2023 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of Walter da Silva (deceased). Loving mother of Natasha Charles (Daniel), Grandmom to Phillip, Justin (Katherine) Charles and Great-Grandma to Andrew Charles. A special thanks to the staff of CBI, Bayshore, HCCSS, Gerda's physicians and the Juravinski Emergency department staff for their care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at PX DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (796 Upper Gage Ave. Hamilton) on Friday, January 6th, 2023 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church (416 Mohawk Rd. E. Hamilton) on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (254 Garner Rd. W, Ancaster). In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerda's memory may be made to the Good Shepherd.
