Loverro, Giuseppe “Joe”
February 27th, 1951 – November 15th, 2022
It is with great sadness and heartbreak that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Joe. Joe passed away suddenly at Willowgrove Long Term Care Residence at the age of 71.
Born in Maurage, Belgium in 1951, Joe is predeceased by his loving wife, Linda as well as his cherished mother Carmela Loverro and father Anthony Loverro. Joe was a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle until the very end.
Forever in the hearts of his children Leeanne, Terry (Gerry), David (Sabrina), Shanna (Jerry) and Melina. Also sorely missed by his siblings Gina, Dolores, Anna, Peter (Angel) and Anthony (Tracy). Beloved Papa to Steven (Taylor), Ashley (David), Natasha, Amelia, Sophia and cherished Big Papa to Lilly. Joe will also be mourned by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
A Dofasco retiree with over 30 years of dedicated service, Joe loved the simple things in life. He had a passion for music, sports, movies, family outings and a good meal.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Caroline Place Retirement Residence and Willowgrove Long Term Residence for taking such wonderful care of our dad.
Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Friday, November 18th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, November 19th at 1pm. Cremation to follow.
