It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helena Bekelja on September 18, 2019 at the Hamilton General Hospital in her 82nd year. Loving sister of Branko (Dragica), Dragica and Ivanka. Predeceased by her parents Martin & Dragica, sister Olga and brothers Vitomir and Albin. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1919 King Street East on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 9-10:30am followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 10:30am. Burial to take place at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Stoney Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Association or Holy Cross Croatian Church would be appreciated by the family.
