Irene Isobel Pearsell
1930-2022
Our beloved mother and grandmother, Irene Isobel Pearsell (nee Murdoch), passed away with her family by her side on October 11, 2022 at the age of 92 years in Hamilton, Ontario.
She will be remembered lovingly by: her children Grant (Susan), Brian (Joan) and Beth (Roy); grandchildren Christopher and Joshua (Rachael); as well as her relatives and friends. She will also be missed by her friends and staff at The Village of Wentworth Heights.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, Robert; brother, Kenneth (Ruth); and her parents, Elsie and Gordon Murdoch.
Irene was a lifelong devoted member and volunteer of the Anglican Church. She was always curious and produced an impressive multi-volume genealogical study of her family using her ingenuity to locate hard to find material before it was readily available via the internet. Irene was also interested in technology and was a proficient user of a variety of computer technology until her passing. In her younger years, she was a dedicated curler and square/round dancing. Her knowledge of the Toronto Blue Jays was impressive.
A private graveside service will be held at the St. Paul’s (Glanford) Anglican Church at a later date.
Memorial Donations may be made in Irene Pearsell’s name to the Salvation Army.
The family wishes to express their immense gratitude to the doctors, nurses, health care workers, and social workers of the Jurvavinski Hospital Emergency Department, the Palliative Care Team, and Ward 3 East for their unfailing patience, empathy, and compassion.
