After a wonderful 72 years playing peacefully with his beautiful grandchildren that he enjoyed so much, Ivan decided to play his last round on December 25, 2020. Devoted father of his only son Mark, who he cherished and his dotting daughter-in-law Olivia. Cherished grandfather/papa to Evan and Audrina. Ivan will be reunited with his pre-deceased parents Marko and Katica and brothers Zvonko and Antun. Ivan will be sadly missed by his many sisters and brothers: Kathy (Janko) Batusic, Ana (Ivan) Podrebarac, Vlado (Barbara), Franjo (Katica), Drago (Anna), Josip (Janice), Slavko (Zeljka) and sister-in-laws Danica and Vera. Ivan leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Ivan was an extremely hard-working Electrician, who proudly worked alongside his brothers and son. He was a sports enthusiast who loved the game of soccer and spent many years playing and coaching on the pitch. In his later years he loved spending his afternoons catching up with the all-sports channels. He will always be remembered as the master behind the “pecenka” pit at family gatherings. He raised his son proudly as a single father and taught him the importance of hard work and family.

Due to Covid 19 a private family service took place and a Memorial Celebration of Ivan’s life will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to P.X. Dermody Funeral Home.
