Obituary for Lois Underhill

UNDERHILL, Lois Alien

Peacefully by my Mother’s side on January 21, 2022, Lois Alien Underhill, in her 84th year rested her soul to be with her husband John in heaven, her love. Mom is survived by her son Dirk, daughter Karen, and her two grandchildren Johnathan and Rebecca whom she treasured. She is also survived by her many siblings Paul, Gary, Dewey, Shelly, Skippy, Wendy, and many nieces and nephews.

Mom was a vibrant soul and loved by all who were a part of her life and those she met. The light that shone the brightest in any room and the one who had the inner strength that allowed her to take life’s journey through many ups and downs. She brought (and still will) bring smiles and laughter to all, a quick wit and a never-ending imagination to have fun. Her passion for music, whether it be playing the piano, singing and reading, entertained her soul. She loved to learn and enjoyed anything that stimulated her mind and ran with it.

I will forever be grateful for the memories she has created for me because it taught me strength and the gift of gratitude in good and bad. I am also grateful for the closeness of our journey that these past years gave us as Mother and Daughter. I learned strength from a woman of much patience.

She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Johnathan and Rebecca whom she loved as her own.
A special thank you to the team of Drs. and nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital who lovingly attended to her needs.

“Rest peacefully Mom, your laughter and smile and the sparkle in your pretty blue eyes will always be a constant, and when your singing in the heavens above, remember to sing the loudest for me….. and I will dance.”
Lovingly remembered always and forever,
Daughter Karen xo... Love you...
