Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 1, 2023 at 84 years of age. Reunited with her first husband Jose Eduardo Madalena and second husband Orval Shevalier. Beloved mother of John (Lorena) Madalena and step-mother of Calvin (Carla) Shevalier and Russel (Michelle) Shevalier. Beloved Grandma of Symonne, Jenna, Jacob, Jessica (Dan), Ryan (Carlissa), Jasmin, Sebastian and great Grandma of William and Lily. Maria will be sadly missed by her entire family and many dear friends from Portugal and Canada.

Cremation services were held. Memorial Visitation Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home (796 Upper Gage Ave., Hamilton, ON.).
