Higson, Mark “Higgy”
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mark on February 4, 2024, at 66 years of age. Beloved husband of Gail (nee Summers) for 46 years. Loving father of Jason (Cassandra) and Ryan (Shonna). Loving papa of Mitchell, Hayden, Lucas, and Maddison. He is now reunited with his parents Morris Higson and Doreen Lalonde and in-laws George and Margaret Summers. Mark will be sadly missed by his entire family, many friends, and reunited also with his brother-in-law Rod.
If anyone knows Mark, you’ll have a story to tell. Mark was full of life and laughter. He was a devoted husband who worked hard to support his family. He worked hard and played hard. Spending hours fishing and boating, teaching the all the kids to ski, going to the trailer on weekends to pool parties with so many families and friends. Mark was very proud of his boys, they thrived in sports and he was always there to cheer them on. When Mark and Gail welcomed grand babies, we all saw a new man evolve. His soft soul just melted and became so proud to be a papa. Sadly, they did not get the time they should have had with their papa because of this terrible disease. Again, we are reminded today that the value of life and time you get with your loved ones is precious. Hold on to those you carry closest

A Celebration of Mark’s life will take place Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Ye Olde Squire, 550 Fennell Ave. E. Hamilton, ON.
