Obituary for Monica Lambert

Monica Margaret Turner, born July 1, 1926 in Ingersoll, Ontario, passed away peacefully
Thursday, June, 2 2022, at Queen's Garden Long Term Care home in Hamilton, On. Survived
by her brother Leo Turner, sons Craig, Brian and Peter and sister Barbara Sivertsen and her
sons David, Michael and Erik. A Registered Nurse, she graduated from St. Joseph's nursing
school in 1948 in London, On, then immediately joined the Neil McKay Orchestra, as lead
vocalist for a summer engagement in Grand Bend, On. at the famed Lakeview Casino. There
she met saxophonist Harvey Lambert (d. 1990), who she married in 1952.
Her penchant for sarcasm and great sense of humor served her well during her 48 years as a
caregiver to the elderly and service to others throughout her long life.
Moving to Hamilton in 1979, she and Harvey joined the choir at Christ The King Cathedral
where she continued until recently.
Good friends, travel and music were her passions. Singing, an everyday experience. Stylish
dress and fabulous jewelry were a must.
She is joining her beloved husband in a celestial Big Band orchestra in the sky and they are
now together forever. She will be missed by a great number of friends and family around the
world
