In loving memory of Olive, who peacefully passed away at St. Peter’s Residence at Chedoke on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024, in her 99th year. She joins her beloved husband Charles and cherished granddaughter Caitlin in eternal peace.
Olive was the cherished mother of Sharon Ellement (Dan Saunders), Catherine Gall (Bill), and Lori Collins (Steve). Her devotion to her family knew no bounds, and her love for her children and grandchildren was unwavering. As a devoted Nana, she found joy in the laughter and love of her 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Born the youngest in a large family on a farm in Saskatchewan , Olive carried the memories and traditions of her upbringing throughout her life. She was the last surviving member of her siblings, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Noel, Arnold, and the compassionate staff at St. Peter’s Residence for their dedicated care and support throughout Olive's stay. Your kindness brought comfort and solace during a difficult time, and we are forever grateful.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave. on Friday, May 10th, 2024, from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m; reception to follow. . A private interment will take place at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery at a later date.

In closing, let us remember Olive not with sadness, but with gratitude for the love, laughter, wit and warmth she brought into our lives. May her memory be a blessing to us all.
