Sabourin, Rose Hélène (nee Courchène)
Suddenly at Parkview Nursing Centre on Saturday the 04 th of February 2023 at the
age of 92. Rose is survived by her beloved Michel, nieces, nephews, grand nieces
and grand nephews spread throughout Ontario, Québec, California and South Australia.
In life, Rose was successful in maintaining her sense of humour and pleasant
disposition. She did not have much in terms of worldly possessions but was strong
in spirit. She was often heard saying “I am satisfied with my life. I pray to God to
discuss the people I love every day. I also talk about the people who have hurt
me…some terribly.” This made her richer than most, whether she realized it or not.
We offer a heartfelt thank you to all the dedicated personnel who work in long-
term care and homecare. In particular we name the staff at the Parkview Nursing
Centre and the St Joseph’s Home Care Park Assisted Living Hub. You were there
for Rose when she needed you most. We would also like to thank Dr. Ralph
Epstein, Keith Johnson and the folks from City Housing Hamilton (Park Street).
You know who you are.
Visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Sunday, February 12th from 3-430pm followed by a chapel service at 430pm. Cremation to follow. It is with heavy hearts that we all say goodbye. She can be honoured through donations to a charity of your choice.
