Roy passed away peacefully on February 12th, 2022, with his loving wife Nadine and daughter Mallory by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband and best friend to Nadine, cherished and devoted father to Mallory, and proud grandfather to Millie. Son to his late parents, George Purser and Elsie Baxter. Son in-law to Dora (late Albert). Loving brother to Ann (late Eric), Linda (Rudi), Mary (Willy), Wray, and Lisa (Carl). Brother-in-law to Lori (Joel). Dear Uncle to his nieces, nephews, and to his great-nieces and great-nephews. For all who knew him, Roy’s generous spirit, kind heart, and sense of humour will never be forgotten. He was devoted to his work and clients. His hobbies included collecting cigars, watching the Leafs, Jays and Dolphins, and enjoyed going to Florida. His passing has left a huge void in our hearts, and he will forever be missed. Visitation will be held at P. X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1919 King Street East on Wednesday, February 16th from 6-9pm. A private family service will be held. Anyone wishing to attend must RSVP by calling the funeral home at 905-549-9955 or on the funeral home website. Everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
