Obituary for William Norman "Bill" Lock

Lock, William Norman “Bill”

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bill; Dad and Grandpa. Bill passed away peacefully in his 76th year at Juravinski Hospital after a short battle with cancer on October 6th, 2022, with his wife and children by his side.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Susan, his son Tom (Tiffanie) and daughter Jennifer (Scott). His adored grandchildren, Kaylee (Quinton), Alec (Megan), Benjamin, Carter & Kaelan. His younger sisters Barbara & Marilyn. As well as Sherry, Joe and all his extended family and friends, of which there are so many, who are forever held deep in his heart.

We must extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Tozer, Dr. Gladstone and the staff in Emergency and C3 at Juravinski Hospital for their support, professionalism and dedication. As well as their patience with our extroverted family during our many bedside gatherings. Bill always loved the attention the staff gave him and he knew them by name.

Bill, Dad, Grandpa, we know you’re grabbing your clubs, so fire up your hot-rod, as you have a tee-time with Larry. The fairways are green, and the wind is with you. Till we all meet again, you’ll always be in our hearts and with us wherever we go.

Bill will be cremated and a private interment ceremony with close family will be held at a later date.

We all share our own special memories of Bill, and we invite friends and family to join us on Thursday October 13th at the Hamilton Police Association Hall at 555 Upper Wellington Street, Hamilton during the hours of 1:00pm to 4:00pm to celebrate Bill’s life, and share those memories with smiles and laughter.

Donations in kind can be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or to the Melanoma Network of Canada. Online condolences can be made to www.dermodys.com

Our goodbyes are not forever; nor the end.
We’re saying we’ll miss you until we see you again.
