Pleydon, William Ronald
Passed away peacefully at home on June 14th at the age of 91 years.
Survived by his loving wife Gwen (nee Halpin), with whom he would have
celebrated a 60th anniversary on July 6.
Lovingly remembered by Paula, William (Millie), Robert (Deborah), Margaret (Bill), Anne (Matt), Liam, Alastair, Elinor, Bret, Daniel, and Liza.
Bill was very proud of his children and their accomplishments and activities. Licensed in 1956, he had a long career in auto and truck body repair. A private pilot, he rebuilt and flew his Tiger Moth in London, Ontario. He was a longstanding member and Past Master of Lincoln Lodge 544. Many around the world knew him through amateur radio as VE3 KYC.
Special thanks to people in his neurosurgery team for restoring him to good health in 2019, and the emergency responders that came out for him this week.
Visitation will be held at Church of the Nativity (1831 King St E., Hamilton) on June 19, from 10 to 11 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11 AM, at the same location.
As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to St. Matthews House (Senior Support).
