Dunn, Gerald Edward
Passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on August 27, 2016 in his 90th year. Survived by his loving wife Lucille of 67 years. Beloved father to Mike (Jane), Peter (Patty), Mary Lou (Harry), Jerry (Jackie), and Len (Liz). Dear papa of 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his sister Geraldine, brothers Don (Evelyn), Leo (Dianne), Ken (Anne), and Ed (Mary Jo). He will also be missed by his brother-in-law Chris (Linda), sister-in-law Joie, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Gerald is predeceased by his daughter Judy, grandson Jacob, brother Joe (Helen), brothers-in-law Al, Jack and George and sister-in-law Judy. A 40 year Employee of Dofasco, he enjoyed many sports and church activities throughout his long retirement. A special thanks to the CICU at the Juravinski Hospital for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (796 Upper Gage Ave) on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 2 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Parish (305 East 37th St.) on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made at www.dermodys.com.
