It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Vito Borreggine on November 25, 2016. Beloved son of Angela and the late Vittorio Borreggine. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Mary Genovese (Tony), Frank (Susie), and Joe. Most cherished uncle of Matthew-Ross, Taryn, Sophia, Joseph, Kaylee, and Nicholas. Vito will be dearly missed by his aunts and uncles Lucrezia and Riziero Tesone, Lucia and the late Michele Gallo, Teresa and the late Gino Borreggine, and the late Anna and Matteo Scarpetta, and many aunts and uncles in Italy. He will also be missed by many cousins in Canada and Italy. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (796 Upper Gage Avenue) on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Parish (165 Prospect Street North) on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 10 a.m. The family would appreciate donations in Vito’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. www.dermodys.com
