After a brief struggle and a life well lived, Dorothy passed away at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital with her family at her side on November 15, 2017. Dorothy was born in Elfrida on December 18, 1917 to Gertrude and Robert Staples. She was predeceased by her husband Ludovic (1966), her daughters, Barbara (2005) and Gail (1997) and her siblings, Helen, Violet, and Vernon. She is survived by her son Gary (Lana), seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and her brand new great-great-granddaughter Aria Mae Jarvis. Dorothy is also survived by her sisters, Mae and June, and her brother Robert (Gladys). The family would like to thank her physicians, Drs. Bellaire and Marrone, the nursing staff at West Lincloln, and the CCAC for Niagara Region. A graveside service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. where she will join her husband and daughters. Your beautiful quilts and delicious sour cherry pies will always be treasured and now, sorely missed.
