I recall playing with Harry Waller a few times in community concert bands in the Hamilton area. This was in the years after Harry no longer had his big band, but he still kept his playing up. Harry was well respected and was always willing to chat with us at break time. I have heard many friends reminisce about playing with the Harry Waller Orchestra as young sidemen, and the stories of regular dance gigs at the Brant Inn. This must have been a memorable era for all. I'm sure there are a thousand stories to be told. My condolences to the Waller family.
