When I first arrived at At Joseph's Hospital, as a young resident in 1967, there were two standout personalities..Dr Goldberg in Medicine, and Dr Carroll in Surgery. His​ personable style, his sense of humour, surgical competency, and caring nature are so well remembered by me. As a resident, then later as a family doctor in town, Joe was always available, a go-to resource for so many of us in the community.My condolences to his family members, and his past patients who have lost their surgeon, and friend.
